Requirements
Must have:
- We require a bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- We require at least 3 years of experience in IT asset management, software license administration, or a similar function.
- We require the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
- We require an interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance after start.
- We require the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program clearance.
- We require U.S. Person status for export control compliance.
- We do not offer visa sponsorship for this position.
Responsibilities
- We manage a complete and accurate inventory of software licenses across the program, including perpetual, subscription, cloud-based, open-source, and other models.
- We implement and maintain tools and processes to track license assignments, usage, and renewal timelines.
- We audit license quantities and utilization against procurement records and contractual agreements.
- We support the procurement of new software licenses by partnering with procurement and technical teams to define needs and assess options.
- We monitor renewal deadlines and drive renewal activities with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- We review license terms and agreements to understand rights, restrictions, and compliance obligations.
- We ensure adherence to software licensing agreements and terms of service.
- We identify and reduce licensing risks such as overuse, unauthorized use, and expirations.
- We support internal and external software audits with complete and accurate licensing data.
- We develop policies and procedures for software license governance within the program.
- We analyze usage data to uncover optimization opportunities and cost savings.
- We recommend license reallocation, vendor consolidation, and alternative licensing approaches.
- We support software licensing budgets and monitor spending.
- We prepare regular reports on inventory, utilization, compliance status, and upcoming renewals for leadership and stakeholders.
- We communicate licensing policies, procedures, and updates to technical teams, developers, and end users.
- We serve as a primary contact for software license questions and issues.
- We build and sustain relationships with key software vendors.
- We participate in vendor meetings to stay current on licensing changes, new offerings, and best practices.
