Astrion is seeking a skilled Windows Systems Administrator to manage, secure, and optimize NSWCDD's enterprise networks and software systems in Dahlgren, VA. This contingent role requires Top Secret clearance and full-time commitment.

Candidates should have 3+ years of Windows administration experience, strong backup/recovery skills, and familiarity with firewalls, TCP/IP, and vulnerability management. A Bachelor’s in engineering or CS is preferred, with relevant DoD procurement exposure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Windows system administration experience.
• Experience in backup/recovery, software management, hardware installation and configuration, and performance tuning.
• Experience with network security tools such as firewalls.
• Experience developing system specifications and performing market research procurement tasks.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and network protocols.
• Understanding of computing vulnerabilities and detection methods.
• IAT II level designation with a T5 investigation is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, CS, or IS.
• Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CySA+ or CCNA are preferred.

Overview Systems Administrator (Windows) JOB LOCATION: Dahlgren, Virginia JOB STATUS: Full Time CLEARANCE: Top Secret TRAVEL: Less than 10% SALARY:$100,000 to $110,700 Astrion has a contingent opening for a Systems Administrator ( Windows ) supporting the U.S. Navy's Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), located in Dahlgren, VA. Astrion is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Windows Systems Administrator to manage, maintain , and secure NSWCDD' enterprise networks and software systems. In this role, you will perform full-lifecycle administration, including hardware/software installation, configuration, and performance tuning across diverse operating environments. You will also support network security operations, analyze vulnerabilities, develop system specifications, and assist with procurement-related market research to ensure our infrastructure meets federal and Department of War guidelines. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Three (3) years of professional experience in relation to Windows system administration of networks and software systems
• Experience in system backup/recovery, basic software management, security and library management, installation and configuration of hardware, operating systems and COTS software, operating computer systems in different operating environments, sizing, performance, tuning, hardware/software /network trouble shooting and resource allocation
• Experience in maintaining proficiency in major network security tools such as firewalls
• Experience developing system specifications and performing market research procurement tasks
• Qualified experience with different network protocols including TCP/IP
• Qualified experience of computing and networking vulnerabilities and the latest detect methods
• This position is required to be designated as IAT II level with a T5 investigation. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
