Amentum is seeking a Systems Administrator to administer, implement, and maintain operating systems and related software for NASA Glenn under TFOME. You will troubleshoot issues, support users, and ensure compatibility between hardware and software across enterprise servers.

The role involves planning upgrades, scripting automation, and adhering to security standards while providing reliable IT services at the Glenn Research Center.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Science or IT, or 10+ years experience.
• Experience managing campus and air-gapped servers and networks.
• Strong scripting and automation capabilities required.

Responsibilities

• Administer, develop, test, implement and maintain OS and software.
• Enforce standards for computer operations and compatibility.
• Troubleshoot software, OS, and networking issues.
• Schedule, perform and monitor backups and data recovery.
• Plan and execute system upgrades and migrations.
• Configure hardware like workstations, servers and tape devices.
• Provide user support and guidance while following security standards.
