EXPANSIA is seeking a Systems Administrator to support a major NAVAIR program at Pax River, MD. The role involves reviewing information release for international participants and mentoring the Foreign Disclosure team.

Responsibilities include deploying and maintaining hardware and virtual infrastructure, managing access, backups, and security, and providing technical support to customers while ensuring DoD compliance. Active Secret/Top Secret eligibility preferred.

Formación

• 5+ years of Systems Administration experience.
• DoD programs or secure DoD environments experience required.
• RMF/ STIG execution and compliance experience required.
• CompTIA Sec+ or equivalent certification.
• VMware, virtual networking, backups, networking, containers, and Active Directory experience.

OVERVIEW

Full-time/Permanent Employee Location: Pax River, MDAether Aerospace is seeking a Systems Administrator to support a major NAVAIR program office in Patuxent River, MD. Candidate will provide analysis and high-level support as the senior member of a major program office Foreign Disclosure team. Candidate will be responsible for reviewing and documenting the release of information to international participants and providing mentorship and Senior-level review to the Foreign Disclosure team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide engineering solutions for various and unique problem sets and customers in a government software hosting facility.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware infrastructure, to include virtual machines and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes to various physical and virtual hosts.
• Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues on servers, workstations, and IT equipment.
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Deploy and maintain software applications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain documentation to include knowledge base, incident response actions, system configurations, and other information related to system administration.
• Provide technical support to customers, ranging from resolving technical issues to providing guidance and best-practices.
• Secure information systems and applications to current DoD guidance
• Maintain configuration and security posture of information systems through continuous monitoring and routine security events/reporting.
• Participate in project planning using Agile methodology.
• Provide networking support to on-premises infrastructure.
• Understanding and familiarity of Linux operating system and virtual networking.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Clearance: Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance Education and Years of Experience: Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of Systems Administration Experience Previous experience supporting U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) programs, customers, or secure DoD environments is required Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance experience a must (example: scanning and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) execution) CompTIA Sec+ Windows or Linux OS certification VMWare, Virtual Networking, System Backups, Networking, Containers, and Active Directory experience $75,000 - $100,000 a year There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
