Job summary

Experis Technology Group is seeking a Systems Administrator for an all-onsite, 6-month contract in Little Canada, MN. You will manage Linux infrastructure, perform provisioning and patching, and ensure system stability and security.

You will collaborate across development, cybersecurity, networking, and operations to improve reliability and support incident response with Syslog, Splunk, and ELK monitoring. On-call readiness and strong documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Deep Linux administration experience, including RHEL maintenance and optimization.
• Experience creating infrastructure diagrams (dependency, data-flow, sequence).
• Knowledge of NFSv4 and Kerberos ACLs for file shares and storage devices.
• Ability to manage DB backups and configuration for recoverability and continuity.
• Proxmox virtualization experience; familiarity with virt-who for reliability and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Administer on-premises Linux environments, including provisioning, patching, upgrades, and kernel updates.

Job Title: Systems Administrator Location: Little Canada, MN - 100% Onsite 6 Months Contract Pay Range: $32/hr to $36/hr on W2

Job Details

Support on-premises infrastructure and applications by administering Linux environments with a focus on stability, resilience, and dependable service delivery. Perform Linux OS provisioning, patching, upgrades, kernel updates, and lifecycle management to keep systems secure and operational. Improve product and development environment reliability by partnering with application development, cybersecurity, networking, and operations teams. Implement and maintain monitoring using Syslog, Splunk, and ELK to detect issues early and support faster incident response. Contribute to incident handling and on-call readiness by responding to infrastructure-related incidents and service disruptions.

What's Needed

• Deep Linux administration expertise, including RHEL environment administration, maintenance, and optimization.
• Experience with infrastructure documentation and visualization, including dependency diagrams, data-flow diagrams, and sequence diagrams.
• Knowledge of network file services, including NFSv4 and Kerberos-based ACLs for file shares and network storage devices.
