Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. seeks an experienced Systems Administrator to install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows systems in a secure environment.

The role requires a active Top Secret clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility and a Security+ certification. The position is 100% on-site with our government customer at WPAFB, Ohio, offering strong benefits and opportunities to work on critical national defense programs.

Qualifications

• Security+ certification required.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility.
• 3+ years of Windows and/or Linux administration experience.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux/Windows servers and workstations.
• Perform system hardening and security audits to policies.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Implement backups and disaster recovery procedures.
• Monitor performance and optimize systems.
• Automate tasks with scripting (Ansible, Bash, Python).
• Collaborate with IT staff to ensure stability and availability.
• Provide technical support to end-users.
• Stay current with technologies and best practices in systems administration.
• Document system configurations and procedures.
