Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks a skilled Systems Administrator to install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows servers in a secure, government-facing environment at WPAFB.

You will implement backups, harden systems, perform monitoring, and support end-users and stakeholders in a highly collaborative, on-site setting. The role requires Security+ certification, a Top Secret clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility, and experience with SAP programs.

Qualifications

• CompTIA Security+ Certification
• Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility
• Working knowledge of Windows server administration
• Experience with system monitoring and performance tuning
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python preferred)
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• 3+ years of experience administering Windows and/or Linux systems (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu)

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Systems Administrator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Linux and Windows-based systems in a secure environment. The candidate will possess a Security+ certification and an active Top Secret clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility. Experience with Special Access Programs (SAP) within the last three years is highly desirable. technical and non-technical stakeholders in both independent and team settings. This role is an in-person role that is co-located with our government customer’s organization at WPAFB.

• 6+ years of relevant IT experience and Bachelor’s degree in related field OR
• 4+ years of relevant IT experience and Master’s degree in related field.

Travel

Occasional travel may be required.
