Job summary

DT Professional Services is seeking a Junior System Administrator to support our NSWC team in Corona, CA. The role involves providing technical support and ensuring smooth operation of systems, networks, and software.

The candidate must hold an active Secret Clearance and CompTIA Security+ certification prior to hire, with travel of 35%+ annually, including trips up to 4 weeks. The position requires strong IT support background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance is required.
• 2+ years of IT support or similar role.
• CompTIA Security+ certification required before hire.
• Ability to travel 35%+ annually (1–4 week trips).
• Proficiency in Windows Server, Windows, and Linux.
• Experience with Office 365 and Active Directory.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in a timely manner.
• Perform regular maintenance and updates on IT equipment and software.
• Assist in setup and deployment of new hardware and software.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls; monitor system performance.
• Document and track support requests using a ticketing system.
• Provide training and guidance on IT best practices and tools.
• Collaborate with IT team to develop IT policies and procedures.
• Stay current with technologies to provide innovative solutions.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
