Job summary

A technology solutions company is seeking an experienced IT System Administrator to manage installations and maintenance of SAS Infrastructure. This role requires expertise in Windows admin, PowerShell scripting, and the ability to obtain Security Clearance. Ideal for candidates with strong backgrounds in enterprise systems and a variety of Linux platforms. This position is full-time and located in Herndon, Virginia.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an IT enterprise System Admin role or Cloud Admin position.
• 4+ years with PowerShell scripting, extremely fluent in command lines.
• Experience with Windows firewalls.

Responsibilities

• IMAC (installation, move, add, change) services for systems and applications
• Manage vendor relationships required for the evaluation, installation, modification, upgrade, repair and preventative maintenance of SAS Infrastructure components
• Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and consultant to other Infrastructure groups (Cloud Operations, Cyber Security, and Systems Administration).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an IT enterprise System Admin role or Cloud Admin position
• 4+ years with PowerShell scripting for automation, extremely fluent in PowerShell and command lines
• Experience with Windows firewalls
• Expert level Windows admin skills (Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy)
• Security Clearance or ability to get a Clearance
• Professional industry certifications in area of expertise, certification such as MCSE, MCITP, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ900), Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ104), Azure Certified Solutions Architect (AZ303/304)
• Linux experience with the following platforms: SUSE, RedHat or CentOS
• Experience with integration of SIEM tools, backups, and monitoring tools
• Knowledge of Best Practice and security guides (ex. NIST 800-53 rev 4)
