Job summary

Peraton is seeking a PMO Systems Administrator in Annapolis Junction, MD to support the Program Management Office for a significant engineering contract within the Intelligence Community. Responsibilities include managing IT systems, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.

Job description

Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring a PMO Systems Administrator (SA) to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Annapolis Junction, MD. As a Systems Administrator on our team, you will support the Program Management Office of one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full‑time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at our contractor location.

  • As a PMO Systems Administrator on our team you will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems; provide support to IT systems including day‑to‑day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the desktops/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.

In addition, you will provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers; provide support for the secure and unclassified systems; provide support for hardware problems; remain involved in the resolution process; configure and manage Windows operating systems; install and load operating system software; troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components; and implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications
Individual Capabilities/Experience Required
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Five (5) years' experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
  • Must meet DoD Directive 8570 IAT Level 1 requirements (Security+ at a minimum).
  • Computer Network Operations – Must have at least one (1) year of demonstrated experience in modern operating systems and network architectures.
  • Information Assurance – Must have at least one (1) year of demonstrated experience in certification and accreditation, architecture development and design, risk assessments, IA metrics gathering.
  • Experience patching and upgrading network switches, installing software on desktops, creating and editing security groups.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired
  • Experience providing engineering solutions for server build outs within Windows environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical integrity, quality and completeness of work associated with deliverables, processes, etc.
  • Understands how to configure multiple VLANs (voice and data) onto switches using PuTTY software client.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the OSI model as it relates to switch configuration, data flow and TCP/IP protocols.
  • Familiar with CISCO switches, configuring SFPs and troubleshooting fiber runs.
  • Experience using Active Directory as a domain service.
  • Experience imaging desktops/laptops.
  • Experience troubleshooting workstations, network printers and VoIP phones.
  • Related certifications, e.g., CISSP, CEH, CCENT, CCNA, A+.
