Peraton is seeking a Senior System Administrator to deliver enterprise engineering support for a Government Customer. The role requires DoD 8570 IAM Level I+ and TS/SCI with polygraph, plus hands-on Linux and Splunk experience. Strong communication skills are essential for independent and collaborative work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and ten years of experience as a System Administrator required; five years may substitute for the degree.
• DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or higher required.
• Experience with Linux and Splunk; ability to work independently and in teams; strong written and verbal communication.
• Must have TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior System Administrator to provide enterprise-focused engineering support to a Government Customer. You will provide system administration solutions to meet required capabilities, and you will create bills of materials, network designs and diagrams, and other documentation for new and updated installations. You will also work with network, storage, and server personnel to define new or modified solutions to complex problems; respond to requests for new systems to meet capacity and user requirements; and determine required power, space, cooling, and funding to meet these goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university and ten (10) years' experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or higher is required.
• Additional Domain Experience:
  • Computer Network Operations – Must have at least two (2) years of demonstrated experience in modern operating systems and network architectures.
  • Information Assurance – Must have at least two (2) years of demonstrated experience in certification and accreditation, architecture development and design, risk assessments, IA metrics gathering.
  • Ability to work independently and in groups to complete tasks bounded by constraints.
  • Experience with Linux.
  • Experience with Splunk.
• Ability to break down complex problem space, formulate technical strategies, build action plans, and track progress against established baselines to resolve technical challenges and meet customer expectations.
• Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
