Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Systems Administrator Senior to support INSCOM mission-critical IT infrastructure. The role leads system administration activities across UNIX and Windows, manages domains, and ensures security and compliance across platforms.

The ideal candidate has TS/SCI clearance, DoD 8570-M IAT II certification, and a bachelor’s degree with extensive experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of related experience.
• US Citizenship required; TS/SCI clearance required.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II and CE Certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead activities related to system administration.
• Manage domains, audit user permissions across platforms, and enforce compliance with regulations and policies.
• Develop disaster recovery strategies and provide technical support to users.
• Install, maintain, configure, and ensure the integrity of computer software and operating systems.
• Implement OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Administer UNIX and Windows operating systems, install/load OS and application software, and resolve hardware/software issues across systems and infrastructure components.
• Provide day-to-day support, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
• Deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Support status communications and escalations to agency management and customers.
• Manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, install/load OS and application software, and resolve hardware/software issues across systems and infrastructure components.
• Integrate new technologies into existing systems, including transition and migration of corporate systems.

As a Systems Administrator Senior, the work you’ll do at GDIT directly supports the mission of the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and lead activities related to system administration.
• Manage domains, audit user permissions across platforms, and enforce compliance with regulations and policies.

• Provide day-to-day support, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
• Deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Support status communications and escalations to agency management and customers.
• Manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, install/load OS and application software, and resolve hardware/software issues across systems and infrastructure components.
• Integrate new technologies into existing systems, including transition and migration of corporate systems.

Technical Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer service orientation.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint).
• Experience managing domains, auditing permissions, developing disaster recovery strategies, providing technical support, and ensuring policy compliance.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting.

DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II

Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract IAT II 8570 Baseline Certification -Sec+CE or equivalent. Desired Computing Environment Certification for Candidates to be considered: Any Microsoft Server or Azure Certification is Plus.

Role Requirements

• Candidates must be willing and able to attest a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract.
• Position may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity.
• Travel may be required to support the mission.

Salary

The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
