General Dynamics - IT is seeking a Systems Administrator Senior to support mission-critical INSCOM projects. The role focuses on system administration, installation, maintenance, and performance improvements across desktop and server environments.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years of related experience, a TS/SCI clearance, and DoD 8570 certifications with growth opportunities and a path to advanced certifications. Candidates may be onsite in Hawaii with evolving responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 12+ years of related experience.
• Ability to perform in-depth IT systems troubleshooting.
• Must possess TS/SCI US citizenship.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT II/8140 CE certification required.
• IAT III 8570/8140 baseline CISSP or equivalent (AZ104 goal).

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Systems Administrator Senior, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful supporting mission of US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM).

• Responsible for activities related to system administration.
• Assigns personnel to various projects, directs their activities, and evaluates their work.
• Ensures long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization.
• Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software.
• Implements operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.
• Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks.
• Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions
• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
• Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problem
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
• Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems
• Install/load operating system and application software
• Isolate and resolve of hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof
• Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
• Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Education: Bachelor’s degree
• Experience: 12+ years of related experience
• Technical skills:Ability to provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems
• Be able to provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
• Security clearance level: TS/SCIUS citizenship required
• Required Certification(s):DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract
• IAT III 8570/8140 Baseline Certification CISSP, Security X or equivalent Computing Env: Computing Env: MSCA 2016, Microsoft Azure Administrator or equivalent (Must obtain the full AZ104 Microsoft Azure Administrator within 180 days from start date.)
• Role Requirements:On customer site daily supportCandidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contractPosition may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activityTravel may be required to support the mission
