Join to apply for the Systems Administrator, Senior (CICS) role at Trilogy Innovations, Inc.

Trilogy Innovations is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator with CICS expertise to support our federal customer located in Clarksburg, WV. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team and participate in a multi-year initiative to modernize large-scale federal IT systems. The role requires at least a Secret Security Clearance, with primary work location remote.

This position involves being on the on-call list one week out of every four. On-call personnel must acknowledge contact within fifteen minutes and begin troubleshooting within sixty minutes, using a secure laptop within a reasonable distance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, configure, and ensure reliable operation of computer systems.
• Ensure uptime, performance, resources, and security meet user needs.
• Operate and maintain legacy NCIC mainframe (IBM z14) infrastructure, compute, and storage.
• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain zOS, CICS, DB2, IBM products, utilities, and tools.
• Monitor system performance and generate reports.
• Perform performance analysis and tuning.
• Implement Pervasive Encryption.

Role Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of experience.
• Active Tier 3 Secret clearance.
• Experience with IBM z14 and CICS is required.
• Experience with zOS, DB2, IBM tools, CA/Broadcom, BMC suite preferred.
• Availability for on-call support, approximately one week every four weeks.

High-level Objectives

• Migrate mainframe functionality to cloud (AWS GovCloud).
• Incorporate modern search capabilities.
• Enhance image handling and support larger files/formats.
• Transition investigative search to Elasticsearch.
• Develop microservices architecture using OpenShift containers.
• Transition database from IBM DB2 to cloud data store.
• Update NIEM schemas and IEPDs for improved functionality.
