Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a Windows Administrator for an onsite position in McKinney, TX. The role supports classified IT infrastructure within a collaborative, multi‑platform environment and requires an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
What You Will Do
- Provide system administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows (Primary OS) and RedHat Enterprise Linux environment.
- Apply Windows Server internals knowledge including DNS, DHCP, AD, and Linux integration.
- Troubleshoot technical problems of moderate to high complexity, integrating hardware and operating systems.
- Understand and manage data RAID systems, backup methods, and technologies.
- Install and configure software applications requested by end users.

Education & Experience
- University degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree, or 6 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Active DoD Secret clearance required.
- Obtain DoDD 8140 / 8570 certification within 6 months of start date.
- Experience with security infrastructure products and capabilities.
- Hands‑on experience with Windows and Linux/Unix servers and workstations.
- Experience with VMware vCenter, vSphere, VDI (Horizon), ESXi, or other virtual computing methods.
- Knowledge of Windows architecture, deployment, administration, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with infrastructure backup, restore, disaster recovery, and business continuity products.
- Experience with application installation and multi‑server environment deployment.
Skills We Value
- Experience with NetApp storage systems.
- Scripting skills in PowerShell, Ansible, and Python.
- Experience hardening systems using tools like SCAP and following STIGs.
- Support for engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.

Salary range: 64,000 USD – 128,000 USD. Salary determination is based on role, function, experience, education, and key skills.
