RTX in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Systems Administrator to join a highly collaborative, multi-platform environment onsite. The role requires an active DoD Secret security clearance and U.S.

citizenship, with responsibility for deploying and maintaining classified IT infrastructures onsite. You will manage RedHat Enterprise Linux and Windows servers, lead infrastructure installs, mentor junior admins, and ensure 24x7 operations.

Qualifications

Raytheon currently has an exciting IT position available that supports the Raytheon mission of making the world a safer place. We are currently seeking a Systems Administrator that will be working onsite in a highly collaborative, multi-platform and multi‑disciplined environment.

The Systems Administrator is required to have an active secret security clearance as they will be responsible for deploying and maintaining classified IT infrastructures.

What You Will Do

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous RedHatEnterprise/Microsoft Windows and environment.
• Lead and coordinate infrastructure installation and configuration.
• Collaborate with teams and mentor junior admins.
• Work as a team member in afast‑pacedtechnologicalenvironment.
• Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
• Participate and lead technical meetings with team members and program personnel representing the organization in functional area matters.
• Responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to a Linux/Windows infrastructure for classified programs.

Qualifications

• Experience using Linux, Windows Servers, and Virtual computing methods.
• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
• U.S. Citizen - the ability to obtain and maintain a government active and existing Secret security clearance, required after day 1 as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within a reasonable amount of time.
• Active DoD T/S clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
• Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.
• In‑depth working experience in RedHat Enterprise Linux.
• Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.
• Scripting Experience (Ansible, Bash).

The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
