Job summary

The City of North Richland Hills, Texas is seeking a skilled IT professional to maintain and administer its infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers. The role covers patching, backups, disaster recovery, and security compliance, with hardware replacement and cross-department support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years of experience with operating systems, networking, server virtualization, or backup technologies.
• MCSA, Linux+ or RHSA preferred.
• Must pass CJIS and FBI background checks and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer the City's infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers.
• Perform patching, maintenance, and backup/restore of hardware and software.
• Conduct disaster recovery operations and ensure systems security compliance.
• Replace failed hardware components and support other departments as needed.
• Provide technical instruction and guidance; participate in rotating on-call and meeting coverage.
