Job summary

The Scylla Group in Warrenton, VA is seeking a Systems Administrator to design and implement solutions for customers in a fast-paced, collaborative team. You will manage AD/GP, set up workstations, monitor performance, and ensure security across on-premises and cloud-like environments.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of related experience and strong knowledge of Windows 11, Office 2021/365, SQL Server, Exchange, SharePoint, and virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with Windows 11, Office 2021/365, and Microsoft servers.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and security best practices.
• Experience with SQL Server, Exchange Server, SharePoint (Azure/M365/on-premise).
• Basic Linux knowledge and virtualization experience (Hyper-V/VMware).
• Ability to work in a team and adapt to client environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage Active Directory and Group Policy settings.
• Set up user accounts and workstations.
• Monitor system performance and maintain configurations.
• Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.
• Upgrade systems and apply patches to meet requirements.
• Train staff on new technologies and best practices.
• Build and deploy new servers, environments, and sites.
• Work with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware).
• Troubleshoot network connectivity (LAN/WAN/DNS/DHCP/TCP/IP/WiFi/VLAN).
• Provide remote, phone, and on-site support; coordinate with customers.
