Job summary

Vibrint is seeking a Systems Administrator to sustain Linux infrastructure powering live mission systems. You will work with peers to maintain servers, VMs, storage, and automation while upholding security and DISA STIG compliance.

The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph and strong Linux expertise. Responsibilities include monitoring, Jira coordination, scripting, and virtualization admin across Red Hat KVM, Proxmox, and VMware, with exposure to cloud/container environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive Linux administration experience in live operational environments.
• Experience implementing DISA STIG for Linux systems.
• Experience managing NetApp and CFS/DFS storage.
• Experience administering virtualization platforms: Red Hat KVM, Proxmox, VMware.
• Automation experience with Ansible or Salt.
• Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Some exposure to containerized or cloud environments.
• Ability to prioritize issues and collaborate across teams.
• Current IAT Level II certification and TS/SCI with polygraph.

As a Systems Administrator, you will administer and sustain Linux infrastructure supporting live mission systems. Working with systems administrators, systems engineers, and network engineers, you will maintain physical servers and virtual machines, manage storage, automate administrative tasks, and support security compliance. You'll use monitoring tools and operational updates to identify priorities, resolve issues, and keep critical systems available for mission users. You'll also end your day knowing that you're doing work that truly matters.

Position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph (FSP).

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux physical servers and virtual machines supporting live operational systems.
• Review system monitoring, team communications, and mission updates to identify service issues and operational priorities.
• Investigate and resolve Jira tickets in coordination with systems and network teammates.
• Apply and maintain Linux security configurations supporting STE/STN and DISA STIG compliance.
• Manage storage resources, including NetApp and CFS/DFS environments.
• Configure and sustain virtualization platforms such as Red Hat KVM, Proxmox, and VMware.
• Automate system configuration and recurring administrative tasks using tools such as Ansible or Salt.
• Develop and maintain scripts using Bash, Python, Perl, or comparable languages.
• Support containerized and cloud environments as part of the team's operational infrastructure.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and system changes with systems administrators, systems engineers, and network engineers.

Qualifications

• Extensive Linux administration experience supporting operational environments.
• Solid experience supporting STE/STN requirements and implementing DISA STIG compliance on Linux systems.
• Experience managing storage technologies such as NetApp and CFS/DFS.
• Experience administering virtualization platforms such as Red Hat KVM, Proxmox, or VMware.
• Experience using automation tools such as Ansible or Salt.
• Scripting experience with Bash, Python, Perl, or comparable languages.
• Some experience supporting containerized or cloud environments.
• Ability to prioritize operational issues and collaborate across technical disciplines.
• A current IAT Level II certification.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance.
• Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience combinations:
  • A high school diploma, plus twenty (20) years of systems administration experience; or
  • A bachelor's degree, plus fifteen (15) years of systems administration experience.

Desired Skills

• Experience with hyperconverged infrastructure platforms such as Harvester, Nutanix, or Cisco HyperFlex.
• Experience configuring and customizing monitoring tools, particularly Zabbix.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
