Job summary

NASK is seeking a Systems Administrator (Linux/Network) to join our Beavercreek, OH team. You will maintain and secure Linux/Windows Server environments, manage Active Directory, and support system upgrades while ensuring data integrity and policy compliance.

The role requires strong technical skills, ability to work independently or in teams, and effective communication. Security clearance (TS/SCI with CI poly) is required for the position.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience with Linux & Windows Server and built-in roles (i.e., Active Directory)
• Minimum of five (5) years of prior Network/system administration experience
• COMPTIA Security+ certification
• Working knowledge of Tier 1 Support (hardware/software/peripherals)
• Understanding and ability to implement information systems security best practices
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Professionalism and courtesy in all interactions
• Working knowledge of core system administration protocols
• Works well under pressure and models a strong work ethic
• Focuses on results and follow-through on commitments and assignments

Responsibilities

You will achieve in-depth knowledge of company processes, systems, and networks and will follow established IT policies and procedures to perform audits and ensure compliance. You will be able to monitor assigned systems to ensure high availability, optimum performance, and security, and design, implement, secure, and maintain systems and associated applications, services, and components while assisting with day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades. You will also ensure data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Two or more years of experience with Linux & Windows Server and built-in roles (i.e., Active Directory, etc.)
• Minimum of five (5) years of prior Network/system administration experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prefer BS in computer science, business administration, MIS, or a related field
• Experience with SSL certificates and certificate authorities
• Experience with DCID 6/3 and/or ICD 503 Security Practices
• Git/Subversion familiarity
• JIRA (or equivalent task management) familiarity
• Networking (Routing/Subnetting/Layer) familiarity
• Storage (RAIDing/NAS/SAN) concept familiarity
• Strong Linux Experience
