Constellation Technologies is seeking a highly qualified IT Systems Administrator to support government contracts in Maryland. The role requires US citizenship, an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, and a technical degree.

Responsibilities include Tier I/II help desk, day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution across client/server/storage/network devices, and capacity planning to optimize performance. On-site in multiple U.S. locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
• Support IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
• Communicate status to agency management and internal customers during escalation.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization; perform capacity analysis and planning.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems; implement OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Due to federal contract requirements, United States citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph are required for the position.

Required

• Must be a US Citizen
• Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph
• Level 02 requires five (05) years of direct/relevant experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Five (05) years of additional Systems Administration experience on projects with similar processes may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
• Provide Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc,
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
• Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with Implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

$90,000 - $120,000 a year

The pay range for this job, with multi-levels, is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
