Job summary

South Valley Farms is seeking a Systems Administrator II to join our local IT department. You will provide advanced technical support, resolve complex user issues, and act as escalation for more challenging problems, while improving support processes and system reliability.

Responsibilities include managing user accounts, troubleshooting desktop/mobile issues, and assisting with upgrades. The role also involves mentoring junior technicians and contributing to documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT support or Help Desk experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
• Working knowledge of networking (DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve most issues independently.
• Experience with endpoint management and device imaging.
• Basic scripting skills (PowerShell preferred).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Resolve Level 2 issues and serve as escalation point for Level 1.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and group memberships.
• Troubleshoot advanced desktop, mobile, and application issues.
• Provide basic Support Microsoft 365 administration (accounts, licensing, basic policies).
• Maintain endpoints (imaging, updates, patching). Monitor system performance and address recurring issues.
• Assist with system upgrades, deployments, and rollouts.
• Document solutions and contribute to process improvements.
• Guide and support junior technicians.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
