Job summary

Foxhole Technology is seeking a Systems Administrator II to support cyber sensing in a secure DoD environment. You will help maintain a mission-critical network, manage Linux sensors, and assist in security tooling such as HBSS and SIEM while adhering to DoD directives.

This role offers remote work within registered states and exposes you to modern security practices. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in IT support, a DoD 8140/8570 IAT II cert, and a strong interest in cybersecurity, automation

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required and DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification.
• Minimum 3 years in IT support, help desk, or systems administration.
• Experience with Linux-based sensor management and security tooling.
• Ability to write basic Bash or Python scripts and maintain docs.
• Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity directives, STIGs, RMF, and NIST 800-53.
• Interest in a mission-driven, security-focused team and DoDIN support.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine system tasks: user setup, password resets, access permissions.
• Monitor systems and diagnose hardware/software issues; apply patches.
• Support security tooling: HBSS, ACAS, SIEM; implement STIG guidance.
• Contribute to documentation: config records, SOPs, and procedures.
• Assist in backups, restorations, and system continuity planning.
• Provide operational support for Linux-based sensors and related hardware.
• Collaborate with help desk to resolve end-user issues.
