Job summary

Nivagen Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Systems Administrator II to manage and maintain complex IT systems, including on‑premises and cloud services. The role supports daily IT operations and provides second‑level technical assistance under the System Services Manager.

Responsibilities include SME work on platforms, patching, and developing maintenance plans. Requires a bachelor’s degree with 2+ years experience and relevant certifications; Sacramento area preferred with strong security and backup

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years of related experience.
• Experience with on-premises and cloud-based services.
• Ability to implement and maintain system security and backups.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME on one or more technology platforms owned by the IT Operations teams.
• Develop upgrade roadmaps and execute plans for platforms.
• Configure and patch operating systems on servers and workstations.
