Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Systems Administrator - II to manage and maintain our IT asset inventory, including hardware, software, and network resources.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, optimizing asset utilization, and supporting procurement and lifecycle management processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with ServiceNow, and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage inventory of hardware assets and software licenses to ensure compliance with IT Asset Management controls.
• Maintain and update the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) with accuracy and consistency.
• Receive IT assets and coordinate delivery to appropriate locations.
• Oversee the lifecycle of hardware and software assets from acquisition to retirement.
• Generate and distribute reports, including compliance and trend analysis related to assets and Configuration Items (CIs).
• Conduct audits of software license contracts and hardware assets against actual inventory.
• Develop and maintain documentation for asset management procedures.
• Support other IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and provide backup support for operational activities as needed.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Manage IT vending machine inventory and restocking.
• Assist with Change and Configuration Management processes.
• Monitor shared mailboxes and respond to inquiries.
• Support onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
• Monitor and manage ServiceNow Incident and Service Request queues.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in IT asset management or a related field.
• Proficiency in ServiceNow is essential.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Certifications
