Job summary

RTX is seeking a spring/summer co-op to join the BBN Team in Cambridge, MA. You will install and configure server hardware and networking equipment, or assist end users to ensure the right hardware and software is available.

You will collaborate with engineering staff, vendors, and teammates to solve complex IT challenges. The role runs January through August and involves scripting, data center operations, and supporting Linux/Windows/macOS environments.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field of study throughout the duration of the co-op session.

The following position is to join our RTX BBN Team:

As a spring/summer co-op, you will work from January to August. You will work independently and side by side with our full-time team, installing and configuring server hardware and networking equipment or working with end users directly to make sure they have all the hardware and software they need. You will also work directly with our engineering staff, external vendors, and collaborators to solve complex and interesting problems.

Qualifications You Must Have

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with Windows 11 operating systems administration.
• Knowledge of PC hardware repair for laptops, desktops, and servers.
• Exposure to additional operating systems such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (or CentOS), Ubuntu, or Windows Server.
• Background in scripting.
• Understanding of basic IT infrastructure services, security, and protocols.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
