The Georgia Dept. of Transportation (GDOT) is seeking a GIS Systems Administrator to monitor and support GDOT enterprise GIS applications using Esri System Monitor, perform system updates/upgrades, support Esri Roads and Highways users, develop system jobs within ActiveBatch job scheduling software, assists on IT Project tasks and data migration/development.
Candidate will be working remotely for the GDOT Office of IT Applications, collaborating with database, network, server, and other IT team members and business units. The candidate will follow internal GDOT standards and accept best practices for developed solutions. The position end date is set for the end of the Georgia DOT fiscal year, with the option to renew in one‑year increments. Contractors are not obligated to extend contracts and may be terminated at any time. Consultants are not expected to travel; however, local candidates may receive reimbursement for authorized travel expenses, lodging, meals, and personal vehicle use. Travel expenses to relocate to Atlanta, GA, or to start work will not be reimbursed. All travel expense reimbursement will be in accordance with state and GDOT policies. Consultants must have a cell phone for business calls.
