Job summary

Captivation is seeking a mid-level systems administrator with strong Linux experience to support mission-critical environments in Maryland. The role emphasizes building reliable IT infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and security controls while collaborating with development teams. Candidates must hold a Top Secret/SCI clearance with a favorable polygraph and be a U.S.

citizen. A bachelor's degree in a technical field is required, with additional SA experience acceptable in lieu of the degree.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of SA experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud environments.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot system issues and ensure high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize deployment strategies and resolve environment-related issues.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
• Ensure system security through firewalls, antivirus tools, and access controls.
• Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Stay current with DevOps trends.

Requirements

Security Clearance:

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen
