Job summary

Captivation is seeking a mid-level systems administrator to serve as a Linux administrator on a sensitive government program in Annapolis, MD. You will manage CentOS 7, Rocky 9, and RHEL 9 environments, perform server upgrades, and support secure data transfer tasks.

Candidates must hold a Top Secret/SCI clearance with a favorable polygraph and U.S. citizenship. A bachelor’s degree and Security+ (or higher) certification are required, with extensive SA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of SA experience required
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline required
• Independent certification (Security+) required

Responsibilities

• Act as Linux administrator on the program and assist with daily responsibilities
• Upgrade servers/workstations/laptops
• Support STE tasks and data transfer processes
• Install hardware and configure TLS as needed

Captivation Software is looking for a mid level systems administrator who will be acting as a Linux administrator and assist with daily responsibilities on the program.

Requirements

Security Clearance:

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ten (10) years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, andcomplexity is required
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college oruniversity is required
• Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Independent certification required (Security+/equivalent or higher).

Required Skills:

• System Administration experience with CentOS 7, Rocky 9, and RHEL 9
• Upgrading servers, workstations, laptops
• Experience with the Customer Secure the Enterprise (STE) tasks
• Experience with the Customer data transfer process
• Hardware installation experience (servers/workstations)

Desired Skills:

• Task Automation
• PXE boot
• Building VMs using Proxmox
• Identity Manager (IDM) experience
• Integration of IDM with a CentOS LDAP server
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator
• Experience trouble shooting and configuring Transport Layer Security (TLS)
• Windows 10/11 administration

• Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
