Job summary

An IT solutions company is seeking a skilled Tier II and III Support Technician to provide expert support for Microsoft-based systems in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in a technical support role, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies. Responsibilities include managing system configurations, troubleshooting technical issues, and deploying applications as needed.

Job description

• 5+ years of directly related experience in Tier II and Tier III support installing, configuring and supporting Microsoft-based systems, both virtual and physical
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or other related discipline. Years of experience may be used to substitute for education requirement

Qualifications

Strong Skills/Knowledge:

• Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2 administration
• Hands-on experience managing Windows Active Directory Services
• Demonstrated experience Dimitri with WSUS and preferred experience with automated patch management
• Demonstrated experience with Group Policy Management, to include creation of policies, troubleshooting and maintaining
• Experience with imaging Windows workstations
• Ability to provision systems in VMWare ESXI 6.0+
• Extensive knowledge of Server and PC hardware and software maintenance
