Job summary

Visual Edge IT is seeking a Systems Administrator to support our nationwide managed services operations. You’ll administer critical platforms, ensure security, reliability, and operational excellence, and collaborate with operations, cybersecurity, engineering, vendors, and leadership.

This role emphasizes automation, platform health, and process improvement, with a focus on onboarding/offboarding, reporting, and continuous improvement across our managed services environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Administer user accounts, MFA, permissions, and tenant configurations across core Managed Services platforms.
• Maintain platform health through governance of configurations, asset organization, tagging, and documentation.
• Oversee onboarding/offboarding, deployments, integrations, automation workflows, and telemetry monitoring.
• Manage licensing, requests, and configuration changes for secure operations.
• Produce recurring operational, security, compliance, asset, and customer-facing reports.
• Coordinate integrations between platforms and business systems.
• Develop SOPs, knowledge bases, and administration guides for consistency.
• Prepare platform metrics and reports for reviews.
• Act as liaison between internal teams, vendors, and MSP partners.
• Participate in automation and platform optimization initiatives.
• Assist with testing, rollout of new tools and features.

Job Summary

Visual Edge IT is seeking a highly organized and technically skilled Systems Administrator to support our Managed Services Operations team. In this role, you'll be responsible for administering the critical platforms that power our nationwide managed services organization, ensuring our tools, systems, and integrations remain secure, reliable, and optimized for operational excellence. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to improve efficiency, automate processes, maintain platform health, and support the teams that deliver exceptional service to our customers. You'll collaborate with operations, cybersecurity, engineering, vendors, and leadership while helping drive continuous improvement across our managed services environment.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Administering user accounts, role-based permissions, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and tenant configurations across key Managed Services platforms including SentinelOne, Adlumin, Auvik, Liongard, ConnectWise, IT Glue, Microsoft 365, and other operational systems.
• Maintaining platform health through consistent governance of tenant configurations, asset organization, tagging standards, documentation, and system administration best practices.
• Supporting the complete lifecycle of platform agents, including onboarding, offboarding, deployment validation, integrations, automation workflows, and telemetry monitoring.
• Managing user provisioning, licensing, permission requests, and system configuration changes to ensure secure and efficient platform operations.
• Creating recurring operational, security, compliance, asset, and customer-facing reports that provide valuable insights to leadership and clients.
• Supporting the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of integrations between Managed Services platforms and business systems.
• Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures, knowledge base articles, platform documentation, and administration guides that improve consistency and operational efficiency.
• Preparing platform metrics, operational reporting, and customer-specific data for monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews.
• Serving as a key operational liaison between internal teams, vendors, security partners, and managed service providers to coordinate escalations, platform changes, and issue resolution.
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, reporting, platform optimization, and operational scalability.
• Assisting with the testing, implementation, and rollout of new tools, features, and platform enhancements that strengthen our Managed Services Operations.

Required Skills / Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3–5 years of experience administering enterprise IT systems, managed services platforms, security solutions, or business applications.
• Experience managing multiple enterprise SaaS platforms within a fast-paced IT or Managed Services environment.
• Strong understanding of identity management, user provisioning, role-based access control, licensing, tenant administration, and security best practices.
• Experience creating technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge base content.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for automation, process improvement, and operational excellence.

Preferred Experience

• Microsoft 365 Administration, including user management, licensing, security policies, and tenant administration, along with experience supporting enterprise collaboration environments.
• ConnectWise Manage, IT Glue, Liongard, or Auvik, with a strong understanding of managed services operations, documentation standards, automation, and infrastructure visibility.
• SentinelOne, Adlumin, or other cybersecurity platforms, including experience supporting endpoint protection, monitoring, security operations, and platform administration.
• Experience working within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) environment, supporting multiple customers while balancing operational efficiency, security, and service excellence.
