AHP influences change in health and business systems to support vulnerable populations—from creating policy to engaging in ground-level, hands-on work. We help organizations and individuals reach their full potential through professional consulting; research, evaluation, and data analytics; technical assistance and training; and virtual solutions, publications, and events.

Our areas of expertise include behavioral health, mental health policy and services, substance use disorders, workforce development, homelessness, housing and employment programs, trauma-informed care, criminal justice, women and children, veterans, health care reform, and population health management.

As a Systems Administrator for AHP, you will be pivotal in the oversight and maintenance of critical IT infrastructure, including physical and virtual assets, telecommunication systems, and network components. Your IT expertise will help minimize downtime by ensuring stability, integrity, and efficient operations of our technology systems and will be critical in delivering a seamless working experience to our staff as we continue to grow.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and administer the organization’s Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) platform to ensure an accurate inventory of on-premises and cloud assets.
  • Administer, configure, deploy software, and inventory user endpoints and server assets.
  • Implement and act as the primary administrator of the organization’s backup and disaster recovery platforms, including configuration, maintenance, monitoring, testing, repair, and secure recycling of backup media and devices.
  • Manage and execute data recovery operations.
  • Participate in the implementation of security hardening features to support compliance with regulatory and security frameworks such as CCPA, CPRA, GDPR, CIS18, and NIST CSF.
  • Participate in the implementation of identity and access management (IAM) protocols and associated cybersecurity features.
  • Participate in risk management assessments and mitigation planning.
  • Provide after-hours support for critical issues and incidents.
  • Oversee patch management processes to maintain system security and performance.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of asset inventory, infrastructure, cloud resources, and SaaS platforms, including user and cost metrics.
  • Manage software license assignments to helpdesk staff and ensure license access compliance.
  • Deploy, configure, administer, and manage IT infrastructure (on-premises and cloud) to support business needs and ensure optimal performance in a cloud-first environment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all IT infrastructure components.
  • Monitor and manage health and performance of on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
  • Manage internal and external DNS records and wireless infrastructure.
  • Coordinate infrastructure upgrades and provide after-hours support for infrastructure-related critical incidents.
  • Procure, recycle, repair, and upgrade infrastructure equipment as needed.
  • Implement and manage Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) platforms.
  • Administer and enhance Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms.
  • Administer and support Voice over IP (VoIP) systems.
  • Manage software licensing operations including procurement, renewal, inventory tracking, and ensuring proper license assignment and usage.
  • Administer and configure user accounts, permissions, and management systems, including maintaining an accurate user account inventory.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Excellent documentation and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Active Directory environments.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Strong experience with routing and switching concepts.
  • Hands-on work attitude and customer service experience.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent professional experience.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in IT system administration and infrastructure management roles.
