Job summary

Martin County Hospital District is seeking a System Administrator to manage and secure the production server environment onsite in Stanton, TX. You will monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure uptime for hospital applications and services.

The role requires VMware vCenter/ESXi, Windows Server 2012+, and Linux experience, plus Microsoft 365 administration skills. On-site work with no sponsorships offered.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred in IT-related field.
• Vmware vCenter and ESXi experience (3-5 years).
• Microsoft Server 2012 and newer (3-5 years).
• Linux server experience preferred.
• Microsoft 365 Administrator experience required.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and update production server environment.
• Proactively monitor performance and availability of applications and infrastructure.
• Triage root causes and resolve issues to minimize outages.
• Ensure uptime, performance and security of hospital servers.
• Monitor data-center health and respond to hardware issues.
• Build, test and maintain new servers as needed.
• Perform server administration tasks (user/group, permissions, group policies, print services).
• Audit systems, backups, and monitor SAN storage.

Description

History:

Martin County Hospital District (MCHD) was organized in 1967 and has boundaries coterminous with Martin County, Texas. It is located in the heart of West Texas. Opened in 1949, the hospital was originally located near downtown Stanton. This facility served the community well for many years, but was replaced with a state of the art 18 bed facility in 2012. The new facility is located on I20, and has been designated as a Critical Access Hospital.

Summary of Responsibilities:

This role is to ensure proper deployment and updating of production server environment. Proactively monitor performance and availability of applications, operating system platforms, and infrastructure to troubleshoot root cause and provide issue resolution to minimize degradation and outages to hospital and clinics in the delivery of patient care. Ensure uptime, performance and security of hospital server environment. Monitor data-center health using existing management tools, and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers when needed. Perform server administration tasks (ex: user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services); research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly. Assist the help desk and other teams with troubleshooting to identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed. Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups. Monitor SAN and update as needed. Microsoft 365 Administrator experience required.
