Job Description

The Systems Administrator will protect our critical systems and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, and assist in developing the overall IT strategy. Essential Job Functions

Systems Administrator may be called upon to do any or all of the following: (

- Provide system administration for workstations, servers, and various network and infrastructure devices, to include installation/imaging, patching, maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems to resolution on the required Operating System. Take responsibility for projects and solutions as they are implemented.
- Ensure all servers, workstations, and various network infrastructure devices adhere to security and compliance requirements. Performing configuration changes, conducting log analysis, system hardening, and managing/maintaining endpoint security compliance. Enable faster and smarter business processes and develop analytics for meaningful insights.
- Work with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements.
- Perform server administration tasks (ex: user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services); research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly.
- Monitor data-center health using existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers when needed.
- Maintain internal infrastructure policy requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates.
- Assist the help desk and other teams with troubleshooting to identify root cause and provide technical support when needed.
- Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups.
- Administration of MS Windows 2016/2019/2022 Server Active Directory environment.
- Provide design, deployment, management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems in the below environments: Enterprise software distribution and management tools, Directory structure management, Virtualization infrastructure, Storage arrays, Endpoint security servers, and Databases.
- Checks and responds to service requests. Completes in a timely manner. Seeks assistance from other IT members if necessary.
- Local Active Directory/Azure AD administration.
- O365/Exchange online administration.
- SharePoint administration.
- Hyper-V and virtual server administration.

A
System Administrator, upon application, shall have the following experience and training:
- Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science, or related field
- At least 2 years verifiable experience working as systems/ network administrator, or relevant IT experience with equivalent responsibilities
- Proven success in various IT roles with knowledge in multiple disciplines (networking, server administration, desktop support, endpoint management).
Qualifications For Employment
- Knowledge of programming languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and systems performance-monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of active Directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, Unix.
- Knowledge of Windows systems administration and Microsoft 365.
- Ability to support a positive and solution-focused customer service-oriented culture.
- Effective communication, both written and oral.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems.
- Basic proficiency with networking concepts such as VPN, DHCP, DNS, IPv4, IP Subnets, routing, switching, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems.
- Ability to maintain professional certifications.
