Job summary

Solidus Resources, LLC, a U.S.-based gold development company backed by Waterton Mining, is seeking a proactive Systems Administrator to maintain and optimize our IT systems and ensure their reliable operation across our Nevada site.

You will deliver end-user support for hardware, software, ERP (Pronto & Sage), and networks; manage servers and LAN, enforce security policies, document procedures, and train staff. Some travel to the mine site near Lovelock, NV is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in CS/IT or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in IT admin/IT support roles.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Office applications.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical support to end-users for hardware, software, ERP, and network inquiries.
• Manage and maintain servers, monitor performance, and ensure security.
• Administer LAN and ensure connectivity for all devices and users.
• Install, upgrade, configure software, and manage licensing.
• Implement IT security policies and stay updated on threats.

The Spring Valley Gold Project is located in the prolific Humboldt Range, an area with approximately 60 million ounces of gold endowment within a 50-mile radius. Position Overview:

As the Systems Administrator, you will play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing our IT systems and ensuring their smooth operation. You will be responsible for handling various technology-related tasks, providing technical support to end-users, and contributing to the overall efficiency and security of our technology environment. Job Responsibilities:

User Support and Technical Assistance:

• Provide day-to-day technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, ERP (Pronto & Sage) and network-related inquiries promptly and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues, either remotely or on-site, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Assist in setting up and configuring computers, workstations, printers, and other peripherals for employees.

System Administration:

• Manage and maintain our servers, ensuring their stability, security, and optimal performance.
• Monitor system resource utilization, identify potential bottlenecks, and take proactive measures to avoid disruptions.

Network Management:

• Administer and maintain our local area network (LAN) and ensure network connectivity for all devices and users.
• Collaborate with the Senior Systems Administrator to implement network security measures and prevent unauthorized access.

Software and Hardware Management:

• Install, upgrade, and configure software applications, ensuring they are properly licensed and updated.
• Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.

IT Security and Compliance:

• Assist in implementing and enforcing IT security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive data and protect against cyber threats.
• Stay informed about the latest security threats and best practices, and actively participate in security awareness programs.

Documentation and Training:

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including user guides and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct training sessions to empower employees with essential IT skills and best practices.

Other:

• Other duties as required including some travel to mine site near Lovelock Nevada

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven work experience as an IT Administrator, IT Support Specialist, or a similar role (4 years of experience).
• Solid knowledge of computer systems, hardware, software, and network administration.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and providing timely solutions.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• A passion for technology and a proactive attitude towards staying updated with the latest IT trends and developments.
