Job summary

Solidus Resources, LLC is seeking a Systems Administrator to maintain and optimize our IT systems, provide end-user support, and contribute to security and efficiency across the technology environment. This role offers opportunities to travel to the Lovelock mine site and support a growing team in a mining-focused organization.

The ideal candidate brings a 4+ year background in IT administration, strong Windows/Office proficiency, and a proactive approach to learning and security best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience as an IT Administrator, IT Support Specialist, or similar.
• Solid knowledge of computer systems, hardware, software, and network administration.
• Proficient in troubleshooting technical issues and providing timely solutions.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Strong problem-solving and the ability to work independently or in a team.
• Mining/construction experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day IT support to end-users and resolve hardware, software, ERP (Pronto & Sage), and network inquiries.
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues remotely or on-site with minimal disruption.
• Assist in setting up and configuring computers, workstations, printers, and peripherals.

Position Overview

As the Systems Administrator, you will play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing our IT systems and ensuring their smooth operation. You will be responsible for handling various technology-related tasks, providing technical support to end-users, and contributing to the overall efficiency and security of our technology environment. Job Responsibilities

User Support and Technical Assistance

• Provide day-to-day technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, ERP (Pronto & Sage) and network-related inquiries promptly and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues, either remotely or on-site, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Assist in setting up and configuring computers, workstations, printers, and other peripherals for employees.

System Administration

• Manage and maintain our servers, ensuring their stability, security, and optimal performance.
• Monitor system resource utilization, identify potential bottlenecks, and take proactive measures to avoid disruptions.
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning.

Network Management

• Administer and maintain our local area network (LAN) and ensure network connectivity for all devices and users.
• Collaborate with the Senior Systems Administrator to implement network security measures and prevent unauthorized access.

Software And Hardware Management

• Install, upgrade, and configure software applications, ensuring they are properly licensed and updated.
• Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.

IT Security And Compliance

• Assist in implementing and enforcing IT security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive data and protect against cyber threats.
• Stay informed about the latest security threats and best practices, and actively participate in security awareness programs.

Documentation And Training

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including user guides and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct training sessions to empower employees with essential IT skills and best practices.

Other

• Other duties as required including some travel to mine site near Lovelock Nevada
