Job summary

Seltzer Management Group Inc in Panama City Beach, FL, is seeking a systems technician to assist in provisioning, installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of the company’s hardware, software and infrastructure, while delivering reliable tech support to SMG staff.

In addition, you will contribute to automation scripts and custom database development using Microsoft Access and SQL Server to support all departments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent education/certification
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server preferred
• Programming experience in VBA, PowerShell, SQL, HTML/CSS
• Ability to operate independently and use good judgment
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Willingness for occasional after-hours support 24/7

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and administer SMG’s Technology Policies and Procedures
• Monitor and maintain data backup systems and verify backups
• Implement Disaster Preparedness and Recovery Plan as needed
• Install and upgrade technology hardware and software including network configurations
• Maintain technology-related documentation and procedures
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues for SMG staff
• Learn and contribute to development changes in SMG’s custom database systems using Microsoft Access and SQL Server

Overview

This position is responsible for assisting in the effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance
of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure as well as providing technical support to SMG staff. In addition, this
position is expected to contribute to and maintain automation scripts and custom database development that support the
tasks/procedures of all SMG departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to and administer SMG’s Technology Policies and Procedures in accordance with SMG Security Requirements
• Monitor and maintain data backup systems, regularly verify data backups to ensure reliability
• When necessary, implement SMG’s Disaster Preparedness and Recovery Plan
• Install new and upgrade existing technology hardware and software including configuration of networks in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
• Maintain all technology-related documentation and procedures
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot technology issues for SMG staff
• Learn, maintain, and contribute to development changes within SMG’s custom database systems using Microsoft Access and Microsoft SQL Server

Qualifications

• Relevant Education / Certification or 2+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access Database)
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server preferred
• Programming Experience in at least one of the following (VBA, PowerShell, SQL, HTML/CSS)
• Ability to operate independently and exercise sound judgment
• Strong communication, organizational, research, and effective interpersonal skills are required
• Available for occasional after-hours work and emergency support 24/7
