Job summary

4c-North-America in Orlando is seeking a Systems Administrator to join a global IT team. You will support Windows and Linux environments, handle help-desk tasks, security, and deployments onsite at our North America entity.

Collaborate with development and DevOps teams, participate in upgrades, monitor performance, and implement new tech while travel is required. Must be a US citizen with clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

  • US citizenship with an active security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Minimum of 2–5 years in a Systems Administrator role or related IT positions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information technology, related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Providing responsive help-desk support, resolving technical issues promptly to ensure seamless user experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems.
  • Administering and supporting Windows client and server environments, including setup, configuration, maintenance.
  • Contribute to basic networking tasks such as setting up and maintaining routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Maintain a strong focus on cybersecurity, implementing best practices and security protocols.
  • Participate in team projects, sharing insights and contributing to IT environment improvements.
  • Monitor system performance, identifying and resolving issues to prevent downtime.
  • Assist in implementing new technologies, software, and hardware upgrades.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

Job description

Our Systems Administrator will have a significant role in the success of the company. This role will be a part of a global team of IT professionals and will be working closely with our development teams, DevOps support, and other stakeholders. This individual will have the exciting opportunity to work on developing and maintaining the IT infrastructure and software development environment onsite for our North America entity. As our Systems Administrator you’ll lead the charge in managing our IT environment from overseeing the technical aspects but also taking care of user accounts, hardware, etc. Your role is pivotal in ensuring our systems run smoothly and our teams thrive.

Our System Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Providing responsive help-desk support, resolving technical issues promptly and effectively to ensure seamless user experiences, including assisting in the onboarding process for new employees.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to troubleshoot and diagnose hardware, software, and network problems.
  • Administering and supporting Windows client and server environments, including setup, configuration, maintenance.
  • Contribute to basic networking tasks such as setting up and maintaining routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Maintain a strong focus on cybersecurity, implementing best practices, security protocols, and proactive measures to safeguard our digital assets.
  • Participate in team projects, sharing insights, collaborating on solutions, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our IT environment.
  • Monitor system performance, identifying and resolving issues to prevent disruptions and downtime.
  • Assist in the implementation of new technologies, software, and hardware upgrades to enhance our IT capabilities.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • US citizenship with an active security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years in a Systems Administrator role or related IT positions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information technology, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in administering and supporting Windows client and server environments.
  • Experience with Linux system administration, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Awareness of cybersecurity principles and the ability to apply security measures effectively.
  • Strong teamwork and relationship building skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and the never-give-up attitude required to overcome them.
  • Solution-oriented approach and the ability to keep calm under pressure and solve problems timely and effectively.
DESIRED SKILLS:
  • CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+ certifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Server systems including Office 365 administration, EntraID/Active Directory, Exchange Online, SharePoint, System Canter
  • Threat detection tools, e.g., Palo Alto Cortex XDR, CrowdStrike Falcon, or similar.
  • Backup and Restore, e.g., Veeam, CommVault, Azure Backup or similar.
  • Knowledge of scripting including PowerShell and Power Automate. IaaC tools such as ARM, Terraform, or Ansible is a plus.
  • Familiarity with working with information security in relation to CMMC and ISO 27001 standards.
  • Knowledge of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Facility Clearance Level (FCL) requirements.
  • Experience in working with Palo Alto firewalls and endpoint technologies and products.
