Job summary

Hyve Solutions is hiring for an IT Infrastructure Administrator to support Windows and Linux servers, AD/Azure AD, and cloud services. You will manage virtualization, networking, security, and DR processes, while delivering Tier 2/3 technical support and automation for efficient operations.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Hyve’s manufacturing and lab environments to ensure reliability and compliance across on-premise and cloud resources.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Windows Server and Linux systems.
• Active Directory and Azure AD administration experience.
• Microsoft 365 administration and governance experience.
• Virtualization administration experience with VMware or Hyper-V.
• Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Scripting with PowerShell or Bash for automation.
• Backup and disaster recovery planning and implementation.
• Fundamental cybersecurity best practices and incident responses.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity.
• Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Configure and maintain LAN/WAN networks and security settings.
• Manage Active Directory, Azure AD, and Group Policies.
• Implement security policies and patch management.
• Configure and monitor backup systems and disaster recovery tests.
• Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and document resolutions.
• Develop automation scripts to improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain system architecture diagrams and SOPs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Infrastructure & Server Management
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity.
  • Perform server upgrades, patching, and hardware maintenance.
  • Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Network Administration
  • Configure and maintain LAN/WAN networks.
  • Manage switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues.
  • Monitor network security and traffic.
• User & Access Management
  • Create, modify, and disable user accounts.
  • Manage Active Directory, Azure AD, and Group Policies.
  • Maintain role-based access controls and permissions.
  • Support multifactor authentication (MFA) and identity management.
• Security & Compliance
  • Implement security policies and best practices.
  • Manage endpoint protection, antivirus, and patch management.
  • Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery
  • Configure and monitor backup systems.
  • Perform data recovery and restoration testing.
  • Maintain disaster recovery documentation and procedures.
  • Ensure business continuity plans are current and tested.
• Cloud Administration
  • Support Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms.
  • Manage cloud resources, subscriptions, and licensing.
  • Monitor cloud performance, costs, and security.
• Technical Support
  • Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support for escalated issues.
  • Troubleshoot operating systems, applications, and hardware.
  • Assist with root-cause analysis and incident resolution.
  • Document solutions and maintain knowledge bases.
• Monitoring & Automation
  • Utilize monitoring tools to track infrastructure health.
  • Develop scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation.
  • Improve operational efficiency through process automation.
• Documentation
  • Maintain system architecture diagrams and procedures.
  • Document configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Create standard operating procedures (SOPs).
