Job summary

The City of Muskogee is seeking an IT Infrastructure Administrator to manage server, storage, virtualization, identity management, and core technology systems.

Responsibilities include administering Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Microsoft 365, security patching, backup and disaster recovery, endpoint protection, virtualization (VMware), storage (SAN/NAS), and maintaining documentation and diagrams. After-hours support may be required.

• Administer Windows Server operating systems and related infrastructure.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and user authentication services.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Entra ID.
• Monitor server health, storage utilization, system performance, and infrastructure availability.
• Perform routine server maintenance, updates, firmware upgrades, and security patching.
• Develop, maintain, and regularly test backup and disaster recovery procedures.
• Monitor and respond to cybersecurity threats, system alerts, and security incidents.
• Implement endpoint security, antivirus, and vulnerability management solutions.
• Administer virtualization infrastructure including VMware and VM lifecycle management.
• Maintain storage systems, SAN/NAS devices, and backup appliances.
• Maintain system documentation, network diagrams, configuration standards, and disaster recovery documentation.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies and infrastructure improvements.
• Participate in IT project planning, implementation, and technology deployments.
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring infrastructure and systems issues.
