Job summary

Accenture Federal Services seeks a System Administrator to support DoD IT systems, performing Linux/RHEL and Windows administration, 1st/2nd line support, and infrastructure monitoring. This role requires DoD 8570 level 2 qualifications and an active TS/SCI with polygraph.

Ideal candidates hold a technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with strong troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration skills in a federal environment.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in Information Technology; Systems Administration.
• Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or five years of additional SA experience in lieu of degree.
• DoD 8570 level 2 qualifications (Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+ GICSP, GSEC, CND).

Responsibilities

• Manages IT system infrastructure, day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, escalation, and communicates status to management and internal customers.
• Configures Linux/RHEL and Windows operating systems; installs, troubleshoots, maintains, and enhances system performance.
• Monitor daily operations of applications and infrastructure.
• Perform system maintenance tasks including patches and updates.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application technical issues.
• Assist with user account management and security administration.
• Support system backups and recovery procedures.
• Maintain system documentation and operational procedures.
• Participate in testing during upgrades and implementations.
• Generate system reports and analyze performance metrics.
• Respond to user support requests related to system functionality.

The System Administrator will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology systems.

Responsibilities:

• Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.

• Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to management and internal customers.

• Configures and manages Linux/RHEL and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing enhancements to improve reliability and performance

• Monitor daily operations of applications and infrastructure

• Perform system maintenance tasks including patches and updates

• Troubleshoot and resolve application technical issues

• Assist with user account management and security administration

• Support system backups and recovery procedures

• Help maintain system documentation and operational procedures

• Participate in testing during upgrades and implementations

• Generate system reports and analyze performance metrics

• Respond to user support requests related to system functionality

Basic Qualifications:

• 4 years of experience in Information Technology; Systems Administration

• Bachelor's degree in technical discipline from an accredited college university is required. Five years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

• Meeting DoD 8570 level 2 qualifications, which would be any of the following certifications:

• Security+ CE

• CCNA Security

• CySA+ GICSP

• GSEC

• CND:EC-Council’s Certified Network Defender (CND)

Clearance:

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required
