Job summary

RTX in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Senior Systems Administrator / DT Site Lead to administer, operate, and oversee the lifecycle of Digital Technology infrastructure, serving as the primary DT point of contact for the site.   • Experience administering Microsoft Windows Server and Windows client operating systems.
  • Experience supporting Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, network printing, and enterprise authentication technologies.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure, operating system, hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Experience executing infrastructure deployments, upgrades, migrations, or technology refresh projects.

Responsibilities

This position combines hands‑on technical responsibilities with site-level operational leadership, project execution, stakeholder engagement, and coordination across enterprise DT service organizations. The successful candidate will have a strong infrastructure and systems administration background with the ability to operate independently, troubleshoot complex technical issues, coordinate cross-functional teams, and translate business and site requirements into executable DT solutions. As the DT Site Lead, this position will maintain relationships with site leadership, Engineering, Operations, Facilities, Security, Cybersecurity, and other key stakeholders while coordinating with RTX and Collins Aerospace DT service owners to ensure reliable, secure, and effective delivery of technology services. The candidate is required to be 100% onsite in Jacksonville, FL.

What YOU Will Do
Systems Administration and Infrastructure Operations

Administer, maintain, monitor, and support Windows-based server and workstation environments and associated infrastructure. DT Site Leadership

Serve as the primary DT Site Lead and local point of contact for site leadership and key business stakeholders. Maintain strong working relationships with Engineering, Operations, Facilities, Security, Cybersecurity, Program teams, and other site organizations. Maintain awareness of the DT services, infrastructure, capabilities, risks, and dependencies supporting the site. Identify site-level technology issues, risks, capacity constraints, lifecycle concerns, and service gaps and coordinate with the appropriate DT service owners to drive resolution. Represent site requirements and priorities to enterprise DT organizations and ensure site stakeholders have visibility into significant DT activities, issues, and changes.

Project and Service Delivery

Identify, plan, coordinate, and execute infrastructure projects supporting site, program, Engineering, and business requirements. Manage multiple concurrent DT initiatives involving infrastructure, end‑user technologies, network services, compute, storage, cybersecurity, and enterprise services. Develop project scope, schedules, resource requirements, dependencies, risks, and implementation plans. Coordinate enterprise DT teams, contractors, vendors, and local stakeholders to successfully execute technology deployments and infrastructure changes. Coordinate planned outages, maintenance activities, and technology changes with impacted stakeholders.

Operational Leadership

Act as a senior technical resource and escalation point for complex infrastructure and operational issues. Work independently to identify problems, develop courses of action, and drive issues through resolution. Lead cross‑functional technical discussions involving multiple DT organizations and business stakeholders. Influence service owners and technical teams when resolution requires resources or action outside the local organization. Identify recurring operational problems and drive permanent corrective actions rather than relying on temporary workarounds. Develop and improve local processes, procedures, documentation, and operational standards.

Salary

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective‑bargaining agreement.
