Raytheon Technologies in Tucson, AZ, seeks a Principal System Administrator for classified programs. You will design, implement, and maintain secure IT environments across diverse Windows/Linux systems, collaborating with Cybersecurity to meet DoD requirements, and traveling up to 10% as needed.

This 100% onsite role requires TS clearance and US citizenship. Responsibilities include managing AD/VMware environments, performing backups, and ensuring 24x7 availability.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a university degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Must have and maintain a U.S. government issued top secret security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Must have Linux or Windows experience.
• Experience in one of the following: Active Directory, VMware, networking administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows environment supporting information systems.
• Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.
• Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of basic to moderate scope and complexity.
• Manage virtualized environments.
• Utilize Windows Server internals including DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
• Utilize hardware RAID, hardware and software encryption and server management tools.
• Perform data backup and restore using industry best practices.
• Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
• Obtain DoDD 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within 6 months of start date.
• Role is 24x7 with occasional extended hours; travel up to 10% as needed.

• Experience with networking administration, data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies.
• Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
• Experience with Microsoft WSUS, MECM, and/or Exchange.
• High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
