Airswift is seeking a skilled Microsoft 365 Administrator to join a growing organization in the manufacturing sector. This is a hands-on role responsible for the administration, security, governance, and optimization of the Microsoft 365 environment, working closely with IT Operations, cybersecurity teams, and external service providers.
The Microsoft 365 Administrator will serve as the primary escalation point for Microsoft 365 services and ensure the platform remains secure, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. This position is responsible for managing identity, collaboration, endpoint management, and data governance technologies across the Microsoft ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Microsoft 365 Administration
- Manage and maintain the Microsoft 365 tenant, including licensing, service health, configurations, and feature rollouts.
- Administer Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Intune environments.
- Oversee site provisioning, permissions, retention policies, and external sharing governance.
- Support device compliance and configuration policies for Windows and mobile devices.
Identity & Access Management
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID, user accounts, groups, and role assignments.
- Manage onboarding, offboarding, and user access lifecycle processes.
- Support Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR), and identity governance workflows.
- Assist with hybrid identity and directory synchronization activities.
Data Governance & Compliance
- Support eDiscovery, legal hold, and audit log requests.
- Monitor Microsoft Secure Score and compliance posture, implementing improvements where needed.Maintain documentation, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Support SOC 2-related compliance initiatives and Microsoft 365 governance controls.
- Act as the escalation point for complex Microsoft 365 support issues.
- Partner with cybersecurity teams on tenant-wide security initiatives.
- Evaluate new Microsoft 365 features and licensing opportunities.
- Develop end-user training materials and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience administering Microsoft 365 in an enterprise environment.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Intune.
- Solid understanding of Conditional Access, MFA, and identity security principles.
- Experience using PowerShell for Microsoft 365 administration and automation.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, SC-300, or equivalent.
- Experience with Microsoft Purview, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and data retention policies.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Office 365 and Microsoft Sentinel.
- Experience supporting hybrid environments (on-prem Active Directory and Entra ID).
- Exposure to SOC 2 or similar compliance frameworks.
- Manufacturing or multi-site organizational experience is highly desirable.
