Job summary

SCCI in Dahlgren, VA seeks a Systems Administrator to support a DoD acquisition program, delivering IT customer support and system administration for operating environments on tactical systems.

The role requires active security clearance and experience with Linux, Windows, and network security, collaborating with cyber, network, and systems engineers to implement secure, reliable IT services.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with active Secret Clearance.
• 4+ years hands-on IT support for LANs/WANs and DoD networks.
• Experience with Linux (Red Hat) and Solaris environments.
• Knowledge of STIGs, vulnerability assessment, and cybersecurity practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, test, and configure OE systems for afloat and lab environments.
• Adhere to software release schedules and support CI/CD workflows.
• Perform security assessments using DoD tools and mitigate findings.
• Install software releases and apply system patches and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for end users.

OverviewSCCI is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team in support of a high-performing DoD acquisition program! In this position you will provide IT customer support and technical assistance to developers and users. This position requires installation, operation, configuration, customization and usage of assigned products installed on tactical systems. Support also includes non-standard propriety support of various test equipment used for Research, Development, Testing, and Evaluation (RDT&E) of proof of concept and deployed solutions to the Navy Warfighter. Experience including:System backup and recoveryBasic software managementSecurity managementLibrary managementKnowledge of LAN and WAN network operationsKnowledge of network analysis and problem-solving techniques.Ability to conduct risk and vulnerability assessment of planned and installed information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and protection needs by using required Navy tools.Ability to assess Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) by applying system scans and addressing security events to determine impact and implementing corrective actions; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security / information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of all IT services.Specialized Experience:Must have a IAT Level II or higher.
