Join to apply for the Systems Administrator role at SMS Data Products Group, Inc.

Seeking a Systems Administrator to work on our C4 contract at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico. This role serves as the single point of contact for collecting, controlling, disseminating, documenting, and resolving all user IT questions, issues, and problems within the JWICS environment. Responsibilities include performing on-site Computer Systems Technician (CST) functions, problem analysis, resolution, and periodic maintenance. Develops and updates procedures for IT support requests, including standardized schemas for problem characterization and remedial services. Must be trained, qualified, and certified to operate in an Air Force office environment. Ensures all trouble calls are properly serviced, providing remote assistance and estimated completion times. Issues unresolved are directed to the ISSM.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide tier I and II support to ensure system and network availability
2. Serve as a unit ISSO/user account manager for 377MSGSC
3. Track trouble tickets with Service Now ITSM
4. Perform and maintain system backups and disaster recovery
5. Maintain network security server/client virus protection
6. Control access privileges to IT resources
7. Operate and maintain systems and servers
8. Coordinate/create new network accounts
9. Configure and troubleshoot file & print services
10. Manage network and storage devices
11. Maintain server hardware/software per NIST guidance
12. Provide user training for applications
13. Maintain documentation as directed by ISSM
14. Perform SCAP analysis and complete STIG checklists

Qualifications:

1. Critical thinking, self-starting, team leadership, diplomacy, multi-tasking, adaptability, dependability
2. Top Secret clearance required; ability to obtain SCI clearance
3. DoD 8570 IAT-II (Sec+ CE) certification required
4. Strong communication skills; experience in secure environments

Preferred Skills/Experience:

1. Knowledge of layer 2 and 3 network principles
2. Windows OS certifications (MCSA, MCSE)
3. PowerShell and WMI knowledge
4. Experience with vulnerability reporting and mitigation
5. Windows Deployment Services, DRA software, SolarWinds, Veritas BackupExec, NetApp Storage, Cisco IOS
6. 2+ years in a TS environment
7. Ability to build strong customer relationships
