Qualifications

  • RN license active in the state of employment or a compact license.
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with a related Master’s (MHA/MBA/MS).
  • Ten years of healthcare experience and five years of nursing leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in hospital decision‑making with leaders to develop strategic plans, budgets, resource allocation, operational plans and policies.
  • Leads nursing leadership to develop a nursing mission, vision, philosophy, strategic plan aligned with the hospital's mission and plan.
  • Mentors and develops managers and staff to assume leadership roles through role modelling and shared leadership.
  • Directs patient care teams as a leader and change agent.
  • Develops and maintains effective communication channels for staff input and concerns.
  • Fosters collaboration with physicians and other departments to solve problems and improve care.
