Job summary

Arnot Health is seeking a Staff Development Instructor for the Centralized Education program. You will lead system-wide clinical education initiatives, including new employee orientation, annual competencies, certifications, and regulatory training to support quality patient care and regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the System Assistant Director of Education, this onsite, part-time role requires an active NYS RN license and a BSN, with BLS and ACLS due within defined timeframes.

Qualifications

• Current NYS nursing licensure or eligible.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• BLS due within 90 days of hire date; ACLS within 6 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate system-wide clinical education programs, including new employee orientation, annual competencies, certifications, and regulatory training.
• Develop and deliver engaging educational content and learning strategies that support staff competency, professional growth, and quality patient care outcomes.
• Create, maintain, and evaluate online learning modules within the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of educational programs to drive continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain accurate educational records, attendance documentation, and orientation materials per standards.
• Collaborate with nursing leaders and interdisciplinary teams to develop orientation programs and ongoing staff development initiatives.
• Serve as a clinical education resource providing guidance and promoting lifelong learning.
• Support accreditation and quality improvement while ensuring Joint Commission standards compliance.
