Job summary

Themis Insight seeks a System Vulnerability Analyst for the Fort Meade area. You will identify vulnerabilities in system design and operation, relate findings to mission impacts, and develop countermeasures while delivering formal and informal reports.

Required: TS/SCI with a Polygraph and extensive experience in vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, or computer forensics. Position may involve advanced training and certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required.
• For Level 2: 5 years relevant experience; Level 3: 8 years relevant experience; advanced degrees may substitute.
• Experience in vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, and/or computer forensics.
• Military training (JCAC, UCT, NWBC/INWT, Cyber Defense Operations) counted toward experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify vulnerabilities and attacks on system design and operation (hardware, software, personnel, procedures, logistics, physical security).
• Relate vulnerabilities to effects on operations and missions.
• Develop operationally effective countermeasures and produce reports and briefings on attacks against systems or missions.

We are hiring a System Vulnerability Analyst to work in the Fort Meade, MD vicinity. Position location is subject to change based on central MD client's needs.

Required: TS/SCI with a Polygraph

Identify vulnerabilities of and attacks to the design and operation of a system (H/W, S/W, personnel, procedures, logistics and physical security) by relating vulnerabilities and attacks to effects on operations and missions supported by those systems. Compare and contrast various system attack techniques and develop operationally effective countermeasures. Produce formal and informal reports, briefings, and perspectives of actual and potential attacks against the systems or missions being studied.

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

Level 2:

• Information Assurance Certification may be required
• A Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree plus 2 years of relevant experience. An Associate's degree plus 7 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.
• Degree must be in Computer Science or a related field (e.g., General Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Forensics, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Information Assurance, and Information Security).
• Relevant experience must be in vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, and/or computer forensics. In addition, may include computer or information systems design/development, programming, information/cyber/network security, information assurance, systems engineering, and/or network and/or system administration. Completion of military training in a relevant area such as JCAC (Joint Cyber Analysis course), Undergraduate Cyber Training (UCT), Network Warfare Bridge Course (NWBC)/Intermediate Network Warfare Training (INWT), Cyber Defense Operations will be considered towards the relevant experience requirement (i.e., 20-24 weeks course will count as 6 months of experience, 10-14 weeks will count as 3 months of experience).

Level 3:

• Information Assurance Certification may be required
• A Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree plus 4 years of relevant experience. An Associate's degree plus 10 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.
