Job summary

Hark is seeking a hands-on System Validation Engineer to join our hardware lab and build automated test infrastructure. You will bridge hardware and software, characterize performance, and ensure end-to-end system reliability across speech, vision, and memory-enabled platforms.

You will test releases, diagnose bottlenecks, and collaborate with Wireless, Audio, and UX teams to validate holistic performance. This is a hands-on, lab-focused role in San Jose.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in system-level hardware/software validation.
• Reading hardware schematics and using common hardware lab tools.
• Experience with Qualcomm chipsets and platforms.
• Firmware bring-up in RTOS/Linux/Android environments.
• Proficient in Python, C++, or LabVIEW for test scripting.

Responsibilities

• Define, measure, and document key system performance metrics (power, latency, stability).
• Test iterative hardware and software releases, track regressions, validate improvements over time.
• Ensure hardware/software integration; test real-world use cases to uncover bottlenecks.
• Design, build, and maintain automated test setups to improve coverage and reliability.
• Track and document bugs; triage issues and verify fixes with design team.
• Collaborate with Wireless, Audio, and UX teams to validate holistic system performance.
